What a YOD Yoga Class Feels Like

Here's what a 60-minute YOD session looks like.
Warm-up (20 minutes)
An intentional warm-up is essential to ground your sense of presence: notice your breath, increase your heart rate, warm your joints, engage your core, and encourage a full range of motion. In this section, you'll learn and practice the relevant movements you'll use for the class.

Integration (7 minutes)
Here, you will engage in a few sets of repeated movements. Each will be slightly more vigorous than what you practice in the warm-up. This is to prepare you for what's to come next.

YOD (12 minutes)
*This is where the magic happens.*

The class energy builds to a climax! Everyone moves with high-intensity, which boosts the human growth hormone (HGH) or the "fitness hormone" in your body. Increasing this in bursts allows your body to naturally heal from injuries, burn fat, lose weight, and increase your metabolism. What you'll engage with here will push you past your limits in the most rejuvenating way possible.

Cool Down (20 minutes)
Here you will engage with restorative yoga postures designed to bring the body back to a balanced state. Take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate your resilience and strength. You'll close out the class with a rest in savasana, so you'll leave class feeling fully rejuvenated.
