Taking action now is the only moment and pathway to freedom.

We believe in taking responsibility.
You can change your thoughts, to create your actions, to create your world.

We believe we are all connected.
When we are in the presence of generous listening, we can communicate from our heart.

We believe in a growth mindset.
We believe in awakening.
You can enter a space of timelessness, play, and magic.

We believe in truth.
Only good and growth will come of all situations.

We believe everyone can heal.
We believe in optimizing harmony.
We believe in purposeful contribution and service.
When we are connected with truth, faith, and universal oneness, we can truly show up to serve one another.

YOD began as a dream...

I used to teach A LOT of yoga classes. (I still do!)

But back then - teaching was all I did - and it was soo much, to an unhealthy degree.

I would teach in my sleep - no joke!  I would wake up teaching Sun Salutations to the ceiling.

Here's the thing...

During this time of relentless teaching, I noticed a common problem with my students...

The problem with traditional yoga.

Most of the time, I noticed, people struggle to get into the proper positions, and they suffer for it!

Rather than finding health and freedom through yoga, they get frustrated and sore.

Having personally felt the healing empowerment of yoga - I desperately wanted my students to find the same freedom and wellness in their lives.

This was my realization - I wanted to teach my students how to fully engage with their body consciously in the moment.

I wanted the students in my community to move with clarity and intention so they could maximize the health benefits in body, mind, and spirit.

Traditional yoga tells you how to move and breathe, but I wanted to bring it to the next level.

I wanted my students to know why it mattered.

This way, they could become aware of their movement in the present. By using intentional action, they could maximize the body's natural healing benefits.

But I didn't stop there.

After my students learned about intentional movement, I decided to pick up the intensity.

I added a section to the YOD routine that put a body in hyper-drive.

We tested the limits in mind, body, and spirit to empower a sense of awakening.

This burst of intentional energy would help students lose weight, reduce fat, repair injuries, and challenge their comfort zones.

The YOD method was birthed in this teamwork with those students, and the transformational energy was evident.

Together, we felt like we created something magically impactful that we couldn't otherwise do alone.

This is the core of YOD.

And that's the spirit I want to share across the globe in yoga studios everywhere.
